Happy Naming!

Twisted Fairy tales

fairy tales are amazing. They can teach us many things, as well as being a story. But there is one problem.
Most of the time they don't even make sense.

Take thumbelina for example. (This story is found on this blog, if you don't know it)How come she came from a flower? Why did the frog think she was beautiful? Why did her mother be so careless with her?

The thing about writing with fairy tales is it can be very fun. You can mix up the characters and make everything more sensible, or the opposite. Many famous authors use fairy tales or myths  to base off their books

E.G.
Gail Carson Levine

Shannon Hale

Robin McKinley

Rick Riodern

You see, having a base plot can really help you get over the block of having to come up with a plot.

Good Luck!
